Why is the Myeloma Institute located here?

The founder of Wal-Mart, Sam Walton, had Multiple Myeloma. The story goes that he brought a doctor (Dr Bart Barlogie) to Little Rock from the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas and gave him 20 million dollars to start the Institute here. Dr Barlogie is still in charge of the Institute. I have been told there are over 10,000 Myeloma patients that come here from all over the world for treatment. We went to a question and answer session the other night given by Dr Barlogie. There was a couple there from Armenia  and one of them had Multiple Myeloma.
